Cycloplan, the glossary.

The man machine charts are “schedules” defining graphically the activity of resources (robots, operators, hatch tools) during repetitive works.

They are typically used in the industry of high and middle volume production.

During a series production, every resource makes a repetitive work. The last realized task, the resource begins again its cycle (succession of the tasks).

The most evident characteristic of a task is its duration. But we can intend to calculate its electric consumption, its water consumption, its probability of non-breakdown (availability).

Cycloplan uses a database allowing to capitalize and to perpetualize the characteristics of every type of task.

Interests : it is possible to make diagrams without being a specialist of times methods.

So ,the realization of a diagram allows to establish the different consumptions or the availability for the whole studied zone.

A cycle is established by a series of tasks.

Every realized task allows to pass in the realization of the following task. When all the tasks are treated, the cycle is re-executed.

Every resource (robot, operator, etc.) realizes an explicit cycle. The resources, by cooperating, describe implicit cycles systematically revealed by Cycloplan.

The Planning is the programming of tasks (of actions) to lead.

A classic schedule contains a date of the beginning and a date of the end. The man machine charts are particular "schedules" having no beginning and no end.

As their name indicates it, they define cycles.

A resource can be a robot, an automated machine or a person.

Every resource makes a cycle of tasks, then, it cannot make a task at the same moment

The Cycloplan application identifies systematically all the cycles.
Among them, is the equivalent of the "critical path" (the longest road) for the classic economic plannings. We shall speak here about the longest cycle.

The time of cycle is deducted from the duration of this cycle (the longest).

A programmable machine is a type of industrial computer used to command machines in factories.
